We are an accredited Forest School with a member of staff trained to Forest School Level 3.
Forest School learning increases knowledge and understanding of the natural world and raises awareness in children of the importance of conservation and sustainability.
In the Forest School environment children have opportunities to learn how to assess and manage risks safely and to develop self-reliance when exploring the natural environment; including the safe use of tools and other equipment.
Forest School activities are relevant to the learning required in the National Curriculum and support school learning themes in a fun and lively way.
Forest School sessions are beneficial for all children, providing equal opportunities for children to participate with their peers irrespective of gender, aptitude or ability. The freedom of being outside learning in a natural environment provides a positive, productive channel for children’s natural energy and enthusiasm away from the confines of the classroom.
