March 2017 news

Enthused and inspired by their wondrous trip to Birmingham’s Sealife Centre as part of our “What A Wonderful World” theme, the children got busy making jelly fish, octopi, and penguins for our Under the Sea display. In recounting their visit, Lola wrote “The talented penguins were getting fed fish by the keeper, they were diving into the cold pool”; Lucy wrote “We went through a tunnel and it felt like we were in the middle of the sea”; and Jayden wrote “I saw interesting fish, I wanted to go again!” At the end of half term, our parents were treated to a grand performance of “The Circle of Life” dance and were once more invited to share in their children’s learning. Mrs Megeary’s cooking lessons have seen the children practising their weighing and measuring, and producing some yummy cakes and fruit pizzas to take home; and in Mrs Humphrey’s Forest School and gardening sessions, preparations are being made to plant new trees from the Woodland Trust to join our newly made clay owls in the Enchanted Forest.
